Joukje Baur

Joukje Baur is based in Amsterdam and  has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar's register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):  corporate law, M&A and venture capital. Joukje works as outside counsel for law firms, corporates, startups and funds in a wide range of areas, including venture capital and mergers & acquisitions.

Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.

Corporate, Venture Capital and M&A

Joukje has extensive experience advising on corporate, VC transactions, and M&A transactions. Joukje recently advised:

  • ​Source.ag attracts $23m Series A investment in round led by Astanor (22 February 2023). Joukje acted for Source.ag. Other investors in the round included existing investor Acre as well as several of the Netherlands’ leading greenhouse operators

  • Borski Fund leads investment round in AIIR Innovations (8 February 2023). Joukje acted for Borski Fund. Other investors in the round are Mainport Innovation Fund and Hearstlab Europe.

  • Creative Fabrica attracts $61m of funding (9 January 2023). Joukje
    acted for Creative Fabrica. New investors are Alven, TriplePoint and LionTree. Existing investors Felix Capital, FJ Labs, and Peak Capital also invested in this round.

  • Blossom Capital leads €12m Series A round in TheyDo (13 December 2022. Joukje acted for TheyDo. 20VC and others also participated in this round.

  • Index Ventures and Kindred Capital lead €5.5m investment round in Cradle (17 November 2022). Joukje acted for Cradle.

  • Rubio Impact Ventures leads €15m investment round in OpenUp (9 October 2022). Joukje acted for Rubio Impact Ventures. Achmea Innovation Fund also participated in this round.

  • Rival Foods attracts €6m funding in Series A round led by Roquette Ventures and Peakbridge (14 September 2022). Joukje acted for Rival Foods.

  • Vosbor attracts $7m seed investment in round led by Lux Capital (28 July 2022)
    Joukje acted for Vosbor. Other investors in the round included FJ Labs, Market One Capital, 7Percent Ventures, Athos Capital and Nucleus Capital.
